There are very few DVD/VCR player combo units that are now available. Most are from lower quality brands like Magnavox, Memorex or Sylvania. None of these compare to this JVC unit. The JVC DVD/VCR is a very High Quality Item. It takes about 5 minutes to hook up and you are ready to go. The picture is beautiful and the sound is great. If you do not need a Blu-ray player and you still have VCR tapes to play, then this is the DVD/VCR player combo for you. I highly recommend it!

We are very happy with this DVD/VHS player. It is very user friendly and
plays dvd’s and vhs tapes clearly without difficulty. This price was very
reasonable also.

this unit does not have tuner, that average he cannot directly connect with any of the TV of the antenna or cable connection. therefore, it cannot work most of with the homemade disposition. It says that it can work with a special box of settop of the cable. Nevertheless, the title of the product does not say so clearly or explicitly. therefore, I had to happen with the hardship to return this unit, lost in time my time of having a useful VCR whereas I glided. Very dissapointing with this purchase and this experience of the purchase.

I need a video recorder that has a built-in tuner. Not devices that require a converter box that costs money per month to rent from a cable company.
