Somehow in the set-up process the resolution did not set-up properly, and I could get no video signal on the HDMI cable, although I did get audio. I called Sony support, and to make a long story short, I was told that in order to reset the player to the factory settings, so I could start over, I would have to use the screen menu, because there is no hardware switch to reset it. Let's see now, what might be the problem here. No way to view the menu because there is no video, and no way to get video. My complaint is about the long delivery time to get it to me. I ordered it (and paid for it) on Dec 10, 09. It wasn't shipped until Dec 27, 09 and it arrived on Dec 29, 09. There was no explanation and no obvious reason for the delay. Amazon delegated my purchase to Video Audio Center and they did not provide email or on-line status of my purchase, shipment or expected arrival date. Ordering an item two weeks before Christmas is plenty of time to get where it's supposed to be - no excuse to ship it after the holiday, especially when you pay up front.
